A domain name is an identification label used to access your website, eg; when you type “prefix.com.au” into your web browser’s address bar, you are taken to our website. One thing to consider when choosing a domain name is the extension which follows the name you have selected, for example; our domain name’s extension is “.com.au”. We currently offer two categories of domain extensions:

• Global domain names, which are generally cheaper and can be purchased by anyone.
• Australian domain names, which have the .au extension and some require an ABN.

Upon registering or transferring a domain to Prefix, you’ll be able to use our Client Panel to manage your domain name, its nameservers and WHOIS contact data.
